Terrina Chrishell Stanse[1] is an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her role as Amanda Dillon in All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. Stause was born in Draffenville, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University and received her B.A. Theatre was her first passion in 2003. The name she was given, Chishell was a portmanteau that was created out of the peculiar circumstances surrounding her birth. Her mother was in labor in Shell Station, and Chris her attendant was there to help her to deliver her baby. Strause's book debunks the myths about her birth. She opened up about her mother's automobile problems, and pulled into an auto-gas station. While waiting in the gas station, she went into pre-labor and was helped by a car attendant to take her to the hospital. Strause was born at a hospital. Before she found out she was expecting, her mother separated her from her father. Jeff was half Japanese half Spanish. Jeff is her stepson. Chrishell Strause had to live in a tent in middle school, and thus did not attend school for the full year. Strause remembered the time she washed her hair in a river eating food stamps, and hiding her real identity from her peers. At the age of 10, her parents "struggled with addictions and mental health." Then, she became a member of the Worldwide Church of God. Strause describes her mother as a self-righteous and reckless, and she never had an income that was steady.
